This may also be called an Aural Rehabilitation Assessment. Performed by an Audiologist prior to selecting hearing aids or other hearing technology for a person. May include completion of written questionnaires by the patient and speech testing in different conditions, such as background noise. Includes a discussion regarding the daily lifestyle and communication needs of the patient in order to determine which hearing aids are appropriate or whether other technology may be more suitable to improve their daily communication.
